Turkish raids against PKK allies in Iraq, five dead

Five people were killed today in Turkish airstrikes against a Yazidi movement affiliated with the Turkish PKK in Sinjar in northern Iraq. Two local officials reported this after an attack near Ankara claimed by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. “A series of Turkish air raids targeted Sinjar resistance units” in this mountainous region of northern Iraq, a security official told AFP, reporting “five people killed” in several sectors.
