The rescuers recovered the eighth and last body from under an avalanche that overwhelmed over 50 workers at work in a remote area of ​​northern India, near the border with China. This was stated by the army, announcing the end of an operation-marathon led to temperatures below zero.

Over 50 workers had remained submerged by snow and debris when an avalanche hit a construction site near the village of Mana, on the border with Tibet, in the Indian state Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. Everyone except the eight dead were rescued.

The work worked on a road project and housed in steel containers who in some cases did not go to the weight of the snow, while remaining trapped.
