Organized by ICC and Consorzio Violin Makers Antonio Stradivari Cremona
The Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo, on December 20th, will exhibit some of the instruments produced by the Consorzio Liutai Antonio Stradivari Cremona on the occasion of the “Tokyo Kudan Minami Concerts n. 19 – Cremona Quartet and Goldberg Quartet”.
The Consorzio Violin Makers Antonio Stradivari Cremona was founded in 1996 with the aim of promoting and enhancing contemporary Cremonese violin making, which operates in compliance with the artisan tradition. The Consortium is based in Cremona, the city of Stradivari, Amati and Guarneri, the great masters of the past. Their art, known and admired throughout the world, is the inexhaustible source of inspiration for modern violin making. To safeguard the work of violin makers, the Consortium has developed, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and the Artisan Associations, the ‘Cremona Liuteria Brand’ registered in 39 countries around the world; the brand guarantees that the certified instrument is handcrafted by a professional master from Cremona in full respect of the ancient violin-making tradition.
