The growth diplomacy guide: South Korea: an operational tool for Italian companies in one of the key markets of Asia-Pacific is available online. It was built by the Italian Embassy in Seoul with the contribution of the Italia System in Korea (Italian Cultural Institute, Ice Office, Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, ENIT office), in collaboration with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Sace and SIMEST.
The publication is conceived as a practical and operational tool to accompany Italian companies in one of the most dynamic and innovative markets of Asia-Pacific. Revolt both to the companies already on the Korean market and to those who intend to explore their opportunities, the guide offers an updated picture of the economic, regulatory and sectoral context. Great interests of Made in Italy such as fashion, leather goods, agri -food, furniture and machinery are deepened, as well as sectors with high technological content such as aerospace, automotive, green transition.
The publication is part of the initiatives of the action plan for support for Italian exports in high potential markets, launched in March 2025 by the Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, who identifies South Korea and the Asia-Pacific Region between the priority areas for the economic projection of Italy in the world.
In 2024 the commercial exchange between Italy and South Korea exceeded 11 billion euros, with an Italian export of over 6 billion euros, confirming South Korea as the first commercial partner of Italy in Asia in relation to the population.
