For security reasons
The Hanoi Tourism Department has forbidden the organization of tour to the famous “Train Street”, located in the Tourist Center of the Metropolis, due to the risks related to railway security, as reported by Vietnam News.
The “Train Street” is a highly appreciated tourist destination, dotted with bars and coffee shops, and attracts numerous foreign visitors thanks to the possibility of sipping a drink a few steps from the tracks, while the trains pass at a very short distance. However, the presence of cafés along the railway has repeatedly raised concerns about safety.
The past attempts to sanction the commercial activities operating in violation of the rules on rail security have brought few results.
Hence the decision to ban organized tours, in parallel to the raising awareness of the staff of the catering activities that open on the railway on the dangers deriving from railway traffic.
