Punta conference on geopolitics and geoeconomics
With the intervention of the New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, the three-day of the ‘Raisina Dialogue’, the International Conference on Geopolitics and Geo-Economy of the Indian Foreign Ministry, officially opened in New Delhi.
Luxon was welcomed at the ‘RaiSina Dialogue’ headquarters, now in its tenth edition, by the Indian premier, Narendra Modi, with which he held a joint press conference at the end of a series of bilateral interviews. The two leaders announced the decision to deepen and strengthen cooperation in defense and safety, the start of interviews for a commercial free trade agreement, and a project to facilitate workers’ mobility. The two also mentioned the sporting ties between the two nations, and underlined the common commitment in the fight against terrorism.
Among the participants in the three days of the Conference there are exponents of 125 different countries: at least 20 ministers among them, of which more than half from European countries. Also expected the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, while his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov will be absent.
Much attention will be paid to the question of the new relations between Europe and the United States: one of the prominent figures of the nourished US participation is Tulsi Gabbard, the head of the National Intelligence. In addition to her, Ricky Gill will speak, the American indoor who is the special assistant of President Trump and responsible for the Asia of South of the National Security Council, and James Carafano.
Among the Italian speakers, Benedetta Berti, head of the political planning of the Office of the NATO Secretary General, Stefania Benaglia, researcher of the Ceps, Natalie Tocci, director of the II, Sara Roversi, founder of Future Food Institute, the Ad Fincantieri Pierroberto Folgiero, Paolo Magri, director of the ISPI, and Francesco Parisi, CEO of the homonymous group.
