Open preliminary hearing on accusations insurrection and abuse power
President Yoon Suk-Yeol, under the impeachment procedure, has become the first head of the state of South Korea in charge to be tried criminal, however for serious crimes. At the Soul Central District, in fact, the preliminary hearing of the trial in which Yoon must defend itself from the accusations of having guided an insurrection and abuse of power, regarding the short declaration of martial law of 3 December last. With the impeachment judgment to the Constitutional Court in the final stages, the hearing opened today will clarify the main controversies of the case and plan future procedures.
