Yonhap, ‘240 people brought to safety, another 70 fled on their own’
The fire that broke out in a shopping center in the South Korean city of Seongnam, south of Seoul, in which several people were initially trapped, was completely put out and of over 300 people who were inside the building, 240 were rescued and about 70 others managed to escape on their own: no casualties.
Around 130 people suffered minor injuries or smoke poisoning. The South Korean agency Yonhap writes it. 80 fire engines rushed to the scene. The fire started at 4.37pm local time (08.37am Italian time).
