Seoul, 'Pyongyang strengthens Kim's security, fears of assassination'

Intelligence assessment during a parliamentary hearing

North Korea has tightened security for its leader Kim Jong-un due to fears of a possible assassination attempt. This is what some parliamentarians from Seoul reported at the end of the hearing of the intelligence leaders (NIS), in the report made by Yonhap. The hermit country has increased the level of security around its leader “due to possible assassination attempts through the use of communications jamming vehicles and drone detection equipment”, in the wake of the significant increase in Kim’s public activities in 2024, which have so far risen to 110, approximately 60% more than in 2023.
