North Korea ratifies defense treaty with Russia

Kim signed the decree bringing the two countries closer together

North Korea has ratified the defense treaty with Russia. The official state media reported it.

The historic defense agreement seals the rapprochement between the two countries in the context of Moscow’s war against Ukraine in which Pyongyang, according to the West, has deployed thousands of soldiers to support Russian troops.

The agreement “was ratified in the form of a decree” signed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on November 11, underlines the official KCNA news agency.
