In the heart of Singapore an innovative photovoltaic system

Project in harmony between architecture and sustainability

In the heart of Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, a well -known park and botanical garden, completed the installation of an innovative photovoltaic system in collaboration with the EDP renewable energy company.

The initiative, which is part of the objective of a sustainable development, has equipped the park of over 1,700 solar panels for a total capacity of 1.08 megawatts.

This new energy system, whose installation has been completed in different areas of the park, including the famous SuperTrees Grove, Canopy and Bayfront Pavilion, now generates clean and renewable energy. This energy is used to feed a part of the park operations, demonstrating Gardens’s commitment by the Bay for environmental sustainability.

The installation represented an engineering challenge, in particular on the unique structures such as SuperTrees. Edp has managed to combine technical and aesthetic competence, guaranteeing maximum energy production while maintaining the visual integrity of the park and the safety of its operations.
