In Pakistan rises to 706 budget of the dead in floods

A thousand wounded, 46 victims in 24 hours. Most affected Khyber region

The budget of the victims of the mononic rains and the consequent floods and landslides in Pakistan has risen to 706, with almost 1,000 injured. This was stated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the Pachistana Civil Protection, according to which another 46 people have died and 30 have been injured in the last 12 hours. Of the latest victims, 35 were reported in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and 9 in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir, administered by Pakistan.

The KP remains the most affected province, where 427 people died and another 270 were injured since the beginning of the monsoon on June 26th. Only in the last five days, 358 people have lost their lives and 181 wounds in the KP, mostly due to sudden floods caused by storms. The province of Punjab recorded 164 dead and 582 injured, while the remaining victims occurred in other parts of the country.

The Ndma said that strong rains and floods damaged 2,934 houses throughout Pakistan, of which 1.009 completely destroyed. At least 1,108 cattle died also died.
