Heavy floods in China, evacuated in 80 thousand in the Guizhou

Alert at the highest levels due to torrential rains

The heavy floods that are hitting Guizhou, the province in southwest of China, forced over 80,000 people until Tuesday afternoon to abandon their homes. In a summer marked by extreme weather conditions, between heat waves and violent thunderstorms, Beijing has ordered the sending of the rescue teams in two counts of the Guizhou, where the weather alert is at the maximum levels, reported the Xinhua state agency.

The images released by the CCTV state broadcaster showed the heavy effects of the torrential rains: a bridge collapsed near the city of Kaili due to the landslide, while the amphibian vehicles proceeded to recover dozens of residents who remained isolated. The floods also hit the nearby Guangxi, about a week from the weather crisis that affected the central province of Hunan launched by the strong rains.

Also last week, the Chinese authorities raised their alert for the mountain streams in six regions, bringing it to the highest of the four -level system adopted by China.

During the week, the Beijing authorities issued the second alert for the torrid heat that hit the capital, with temperatures over 38 degrees. 2024 was the hottest year ever recorded by the dragon, at the end of a four -year period result as the most torrid ever.
