Explosion in a Pakistan Koranic school, 5 dead

Among the injured, the head of a Jui-F fundamentalist party

At least 5 people died and 12 were injured in a suicidal attack that destroyed a Kingian province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in the North West of Pakistan, near the border with Afghanistan. The police explained that it is a historic ‘madrasa’ of the Pachistani Taliban.

The detonation took place inside the Hall of Prayer, at that crowded, of the Madrasa Darul Uuloom Haqqiaia of the town of Akora Khattak, in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Among the wounded, the police report, there is also the religious leader Hamid-Ul-Haq, vice-president of the institute as well as leader of the fundamentalist Islamist party Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (Jui-f), considered the major Political-religious party Pachistano, who has its stronghold in this region.

Thousands of Pachistani and Afghans graduated from the Koranic School Darul Uloom Haqqania, including many members of the Taliban, even those who govern in Afghanistan.
