The accident occurred in the southern province of Hunan
Many students were injured this morning after being hit by a car outside a primary school in Changde, in the southern Chinese province of Hunan. This is the third violent episode in China, a week after the 35 deaths in Zhuhai due to a car speeding near a sports center and the stabbing in a school in Wuxi that cost the lives of eight people.
A crush at a school in Xinjiang, a northwestern province of China, left 14 injured. The incident, according to local authorities, occurred on Monday afternoon around 3.25pm (7.25am in Italy) at middle school No. 8 in Kashgar, the cultural heart of the Uyghur minority in the region. A student fell in front of a door as pupils moved between a dormitory and a school building, “causing a crush”, a note on social media from the city government said, without providing further details. Three people were “seriously injured and were treated with all possible efforts” and 11 other people suffered “minor injuries”, but “were kept in hospital for observation”. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The , however, were rejected by China.
