Beijing warns: 'Taiwan's independence means war'

New massive Chinese military exercises around the island

China has warned today that the efforts to guarantee Taiwan’s independence will lead to the “war”, with its army that in the same hours announced important military maneuvers near the island.

“Taiwan’s independence means war and promoting Taiwan’s independence means pushing the people of Taiwan into a dangerous reinforced conflict situation,” said Zhu Fenglan, spokesman for the Taiwan’s affairs office, who supervises the policies of the Chinese Communist Party towards the island.
