‘Earning of interests and negotiations based on market rules’
Beijing “respects the will of companies and encourages them to commit themselves to commercial negotiations based on market rules to achieve solutions compliant with Chinese laws and regulations and achieve a balance of interest”. The spokesman recalled the interviews of Madrid of 14-15 September, where the delegations of the two parties reached a basic consent on the resolution of the issues relating to Tiktok through “cooperation, the reduction of investments and the promotion of economic and commercial cooperation”.
Finally on Friday evening the phone call between the presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump allowed “a sincere and deepened exchange of opinions on current bilateral relationships and on mutual interest issues, providing the strategic indications for the stable development of bilateral relationships in the next phase”.
