ANSA Forum at the Villaggio Italia, ‘we are more than Nations’
“There are many things in common between India and Italy. We are more than nations, there is a natural alchemy between us.” This was stated by the Italian ambassador to India, Antonio Bartoli, during the ANSA Forum which was held at the Villaggio Italia in Mumbai, the traveling expo that accompanies the Amerigo Vespucci on its world tour.
“One of the objectives – said Bartoli – is to facilitate the action plan signed between the two countries which embraces various sectors, from economy to defence, from space to culture. But the most important sector is that of people” . The ambassador focused in particular on India’s growing interest “in our universities”.
“Italy – he underlined – has a strong attraction because it offers high-value courses, with reasonable fees and very high quality. There is, however, also close collaboration in the research sector. And then there is a European lever that we must increasingly exploit to ensure that these collaborations then become structural.” “We must collaborate – he concluded – also to dismantle stereotypes, making Italy aware of a country which, for example, is third in the world for billion-dollar start-ups and is the fourth country to go to the Moon”.
