Vespucci has arrived in Mumbai, the Villaggio Italia opens on the 29th

Ceremony in the port of the economic capital of India

The welcoming ceremony of Amerigo Vespucci took place today in the port of Mumbai, the Navy training ship which arrived in the commercial and financial capital of India for the 28th stage of its world tour which started last July from Genoa and promoted by the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto. It is the first time that Vespucci stops in India where it will remain until December 2nd giving the local public the opportunity to visit it.

Today’s ceremony was celebrated with the national anthems: Mameli’s was performed by the Air Force band in the presence of local authorities, including the Italian consul general in Mumbai Luigi Cascone.

Also in the Indian stage Vespucci will be supported by Villaggio Italia, the traveling expo on the excellence of our country which will open its doors next Friday. A series of events, intended to strengthen bilateral relations, will be dedicated to culture, innovation, investments and cooperation in various business sectors, such as luxury. In the next few days, to present Italian excellence and meet the Indian authorities, the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, the Undersecretary of Defense Matteo Perego di Cremnago, the Italian ambassador to India, Antonio Bartoli, and the CEO of Difesa Servizi Luca Andreoli.
