The seats in South Korea open for the presidential elections

Favored the progressive lee

The South Koreans began to vote to elect their new president and put an end to six months of political chaos caused by the failed attempt by the former head of state Yoon Suk Yeol to impose martial law.

The center-left candidate, the progressive Lee Jae -myung is the favorite, according to the polls, compared to the conservative Kim Moon-Soo.

The seats have opened at 6 local time, (23 in Italy) and will close at 8 pm. The first exit polls will be disclosed immediately afterwards.
