Pending the possible appeal of the Prosecutor
The Central District Court of Seoul has canceled the precautionary custody for the South Korean president under EMBIOCHEMENT YOON SUK-YEOL under the arrests for its brief imposition of the martial law of 3 December. Yoon, under impeachment, is still still detained. His lawyers, in a note relaunched by Yonhap, expressed satisfaction with the decision that, saying to them, “confirms the existence of the rule of law in the country”, and urged the Prosecutor’s office to give “full implementation” to the decision of the Court. “The ball is now in their field,” they added. The problem is that the Prosecutor may have appeal based on the different interpretation of the expiry calculation of the terms for formal incriminations.
