On the day of the 113 years since the birth of grandfather Kim Il-Sung
North Korea recalled the revolutionary deeds of the Founder of the Hermit State Kim Il-Sung, the ‘Eternal President’, on the occasion of the 113 years of birth, renewing loyalty towards his nephew and current supreme leader Kim Jong-un. Radong Sinmun, the voice of the workers’ party, today published an editorial to remember that “the ideology Juche (‘self-sufficiency’), founded by Kim Il-Sung, is constantly developed and enriched by the extraordinary ideological activities of the respectful companion Kim Jong-un”.
The newspaper praised the key visions of the state of the current leader, such as those on the development of the defense industry, calling them “scientific implementation doctrines” that are pushing socialism towards constant progress.
“Consolidating the univocal leadership system of the respected partner more deeply, the strong spirit of advancement of the revolution in line only with his ideological will must be supported,” observed the editorial.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the founder, North Korea has also organized several cultural and commemorative events in;;; the whole country, including an artistic performance held on Monday at the Pala del Youth of Pyongyang, as also reported by the KCNA state press agency.
In recent years, the North has reduced the use of the reverential term observed for the founder’s birthday, known as the ‘day of the sun’, in an effort to make Kim Jong-un profile stand out. Pyongyang refers more to the anniversary of the birth of the founder simply as on April 15th or at the national party in April.
