Pakistan: bomb at Quetta station, at least 16 dead

About twenty people were injured, probable suicide attack

At least 16 people were killed and more than 20 injured when a bomb exploded at a train station in the city of Quetta, Pakistan.

According to the police, the explosion occurred near the ticket office shortly before the departure of a train. More than 100 people were waiting for the Jaffar Express to the city of Rawalpindi in Punjab. The dead and injured were transported to Quetta Civil Hospital.

So far, authorities have not confirmed the nature of the explosion and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. According to the police, it could be a suicide attack.
