Japan, growth slows down 0.1% in 2024

Well the fourth quarter thanks to exports

The economic growth of Japan has undergone a strong slowdown in 2024, although the rate for the fourth quarter has passed the expectations of the market thanks to exports.

The annual growth of GDP in the fourth largest economy in the world was 0.1% compared to 1.5% in 2023, showed the data released today by the cabinet office. But the figures for October-December have been more optimistic: the quarter growth on the quarter is accelerated to 0.7%, from 0.4% in the July-September period.
