International tourism grows in Vietnam, 12 million in 2025

Asia is the main market of origin

The Vietnamese tourism sector continues to record in strong growth: in the first seven months of 2025 the Asian country welcomed over 12 million international visitors, with an increase of 22.5% compared to the same period last year. This was reported by the National Statistics Office of the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance, as reported by Vietnam News. Only in July, the arrivals touched 1.56 million, with an increase of 35.7% on an annual basis. Key factors of the tourist boom include policies on the most favorable visas and promotional campaigns in particular for celebrations for national holidays, confirming Asia as the main market of origin, with almost 10 million arrivals, followed by Europe and America. The most popular destinations remain the two Hanoi metropolises and I have Chi Minh City, together with the seaside resorts of Da Nang, Phu Quoc and Nha Trag, appreciated for the varied offer and the lively accommodation scene. The tourist sector also pulled consumption: in the first seven months, the turnover of accommodation and catering services reached around 19 billion dollars, marking a +15%, while that of tourist services grew by +20%.
