The US chip manufacturer Qualcomm inaugurated a new research and development center on artificial intelligence today, as can be read in the Dantri newspaper.
The vice minister of Vietnamese science and technology, the Xuan Dinh, has defined it an important step forward in technological cooperation between Vietnam and the United States, which reflects the company’s strong trust in the skills and potential of the computer workforce of the Asian country.
“We believe this center will improve the research capacity on the artificial intelligence of Vietnam and will become a training laboratory for engineers, experts and international talents, contributing to the country’s long -term socio -economic development,” said Dinh.
Qualcomm’s investment is part of the Strategic Plan of Vietnam to build a solid public-private system to speed up digital transformation, improve the skills of the workforce and promote innovation.
