Mardegan: ‘It is our interpretation of the message launched’
The universal exhibition of Osaka has begun and Italy is present with its pavilion that brings to Japan the best of know -how, tradition and Italian innovation by declining the theme ‘art regenerates life’.
Art, science, culture, sustainability and scientific research: these are the characteristics of a pavilion made in wood by the study of architects Mca-Mario Cucinella Architects.
Enel is also contributed to the creation of this mission, which, thanks to its know-how and its important commitment in sustainability, illuminates the Italian pavilion with cutting-edge solutions with specific reference to the energy transition and the integration between the building and the environment.
“Expo represents an international prestigious event as well as a unique opportunity to tell Italian excellence and support the country system, favoring the dialogue between institutional and business global stakeholders” said Nicolò Mardegan, Enel’s external reports director. “In this area – continued Mardegan – Enel is proud to be able to provide its contribution by illuminating the Italian pavilion, thanks to its proven experience in the application of highly energy efficiency solutions in contexts of great artistic and architectural value”.
For the director of Enel’s external reports, the project developed in Osaka “represents, in particular, our interpretation of the theme” Art regenerates life “, with a vision that combines technological innovation, sustainability and artistic skill, in pure made in Italy style.” “We illuminate the Italian Pavilion, a showcase that allows us to bring the best of Italian industry to Japan” commented Amb. Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka. “We believe in the synergies and strength of the public-private partnership to win together the challenges of internarationalization and encourage the access of our companies in strategic markets such as the Japanese one”.
For the Italian pavilion, Enel has created a lighting system dedicated to the theater at the entrance and the Italian garden on the pavilion cover. The theater plant enhances architecture through dynamic lighting, both white and colored, thanks to 40 high -performance LED devices, integrated in a digital control system. This technology allows the creation of customizable bright scenarios according to the needs and events of the pavilion.
In the Italian garden, 60 projectors and about 800 meters of linear LED devices allow the visitor to enjoy and appreciate space, generating light visual impact effects. The intervention highlights the vegetation, the pedestrian paths and the artistic elements present, offering a suggestive and engaging atmosphere.
