China, 'US dice to 245% without economic logic'

Regarding investigations of the White House on national security

The duties of 245% imposed by the United States on some products from China “no longer make sense from an economic point of view”. This is what a spokesperson for the Beijing Foreign Ministry has noted, regarding the publication by the White House of an information document on the investigation pursuant to section 232, according to which the dragon risks rates up to 245% on exports to the USA, from the current general rate of 145%, following its retaliation actions based on national security.

The Popular Republic has already clarified “that the exorbitant tariff increases of the USA against China have become a game of numbers, which economically no longer makes a lot of difference, if not to demonstrate how the USA instrumental the duties to force and intimidate others.

“China does not want to fight these wars, but it is not even afraid of it,” said the spokesperson in the report of the state media, observing that the tariff and commercial wars have no winners.

If Washington continues to follow “this game of numbers with the duties, it will be simply ignored. But if it continues to inflict concrete damage to the rights and interests of China, we will reply with countermeasures decided and we will keep the position until the end,” concluded the spokesperson.
