‘Presented formal protests to the American part’
China “strongly opposes” the American plans on the revocation of visas for Chinese students.
This is the comment of the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mao Ning, regarding the “unreasonable” initiative announced by the American secretary of state Marco Rubio. “The United States are using national ideology and security as an excuse for their actions,” said Mao, adding that Beijing “presented solemn protests to the USA”. The hope is to “move in the same direction to be able to make more on a healthy development of China-USA relations”.
