The premier assures them: ‘We will oppose the external interference’
China will bring “forward with” the push for reunification with Taiwan, opposing “external interference” and committing to work with the people of the island to achieve the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
“We will make the cause of China’s reunification with decision and we will work with our Chinese compatriots in Taiwan to create the glorious cause of the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,” said Prime Minister Li Qiang in his opening report of the annual session of the National Congress of the People, the legislative branch of the Chinese Parliament.
China maintains the growth of the defense budget in 2025 to +7.2%, at the same percentage as last year: it is 1,780 billion yuan (about 246 billion dollars), equal to the second budget in the largest sector in the world after the US one. It is read in the documentation accompanying the ‘annual work report’ that is preparing to present them.
