China, joint military naval maneuvers with Russia and Iran

‘To deepen mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation’

The military marines of China, Russia and Iran will hold the maneuvers called ‘Security Bond 2025’ this month. This was reported by a note from the Ministry of Defense of Beijing, according to which the activities are planned “to be held and implemented in the area near the Iranian port of Chabahar”. The focus will be on topics such as “attacks on maritime objectives, sample and arrest controls, control of damage and relating to joint rescue”. The goal “is to deepen military mutual trust and pragmatic cooperation between the armed forces of the participants”. China will send the destroyer Bootou and the Gaoyou refueling ship.
