The manufacturer of energy storage systems presents the partnership together with Matthäus
The Chinese group Rept Battero, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of batteries and energy storage systems, has announced a strategic partnership with Inter, of which it becomes ‘Official Global Partner for Batteries and Energy Storage’. The first public event in Europe to celebrate the agreement took place in Munich, on the occasion of the Intersolar Europe fair, with the participation of former Nerazzurri champion Lothar Matthäus.
Subsidiary of the Chinese group Tsingshan Holding, Rept Battero closed 2025 with revenues of 24.33 billion yuan (approximately 3.1 billion euros) and a net profit of 681 million yuan (87 million euros). In the first quarter of 2026, it ranked first globally for shipments of cells for domestic and commercial-industrial storage systems.
During Intersolar Europe the company also presented the new 6.9 MWh Powtrix storage system and a 320 Ah sodium cell, confirming its expansion strategy on the European market.
According to the group’s leaders, Matthäus’ presence represents “a symbolic moment” capable of uniting the world of sport and that of energy. The collaboration with Inter, they added, aims to raise awareness of the issues of clean energy and industrial innovation among a wider audience, while at the same time strengthening the common commitment on the fronts of sustainability and international visibility.
