Airports operational but few seats on flights departing from the area affected by the earthquake
The Farnesina, through the Italian Embassy in Jakarta and the Crisis Unit, continues to provide information to compatriots present in the areas affected by the earthquake that hit Indonesia. In the country there are over 2,000 Italian citizens registered with Aire and around 6,000 non-resident compatriots registered on “Where we are in the world”.
On the island of Flores there are approximately 700 non-resident compatriots registered on “Where we are in the world”.
The main airports in the area are operational.
The high demand for flights from international tourists and the local population is resulting in limited availability of seats on air connections departing from the area, the Foreign Ministry has announced.
The Farnesina invites compatriots present in the area to keep in contact with the Embassy and to register their presence on the Crisis Unit’s systems.
